Smart Gas Meter
PowerCom offers a smart gas meter solution, featuring advanced smart metering technology, combining integrated internal valve, state-of-the-art bi-directional fixed-network communications and LCD, all integrated and sealed in a single housing entity.
Smart Ultrasonic Gas Meter
The PowerCom Smart Ultrasonic Gas Meter comply to MID-2004/22/EC, with replaceable RF/GRPS communication module and internal shutoff valve. These Smart Meters can operate in the prepayment/credit mode allowing automatic money charging. The interval valve can connect/disconnect the customers upon a command from the central office software or in cases where the credit has been consumed. These Smart Gas Meters are a part of Powercom’s full Smart Grid Solution.
Concentrator
The Concentrator is a Data Collection Concentrator (DCU) that is based on a standard PC with additional communications and built in redundancy. It is capable of supporting Multi-Utility metering end points (water, gas, heat, electricity) and interface with equipment from third party manufacturers. The unit is responsible for data acquisition, processing, storing, and recording data from the Meters/Repeaters.
RF Repeater
With its long-range wireless communication capability, the PowerCom RF Repeater paves a smooth 2-way data path extending the signal range between the meter end-points and the Concentrator. The Repeaters have two RF channels – one for communicating to the Smart Meters, and other to communicate with the Concentrator. They operate according to a mesh network methodology.
